Our Annual Volunteer Training was a success! While we’ve already had our volunteer training event our Program Managers are ready to train you when you sign up to volunteer with Begin Anew. When you sign up as a volunteer, you are given all of the information you need to succeed: access to all teaching materials, 1-on-1 training with a Program Manager, and access to resources.

Our English Language Learning Volunteers participated in a workshop led by Nathan Ivy from Burlington English. He demonstrated how to get the most out of this resource. This workshop focused on common struggles students experience while trying to learn English and creative approaches to overcoming those issues.

Our High School Equivalency workshop was led by two of our Program Managers, and they gave an overview of the path students take to receive their High School Equivalency Diploma. They demonstrated the resources available to both students and volunteers to aid in the tutoring and testing process.
